Comment choisir une fourche VTT ?
La meilleure fourche demeure celle qui est adaptée au VTT. Il convient donc de voir si cette dernière est compatible avec la taille du vélo, la géométrie. Il important aussi de vérifier si le diamètre du pivot du VTT, l'axe de fixation de la roue ainsi que le système de freinage du vélo. Une fois toutes ces informations réunies, vous pouvez passer au choix du modèle de la fourche en tenant compte des possibilités de réglages de la détente, de la compression et du débattement (réglage interne ou externe ?). La détente contribue à la bonne tenue de route du VTT, tandis que la compression jouera un rôle majeur dans les périodes de pédalage, de freinage et en cas de virage.
